Programme Planning and Evaluation

Programme planning and evaluation, with particular focus on non-formal education programmes and programmes for adult learners, has been at the forefront of research in the field of adult education for the past half-century. Laboratory members have produced research on such diverse issues in this field as motivations, reasons and barriers to adult participation in educational activities, the exploration of educational needs, programme implementation mechanisms, types and models of evaluation. This research is reflected in more than one hundred publications and participation in more than twenty-five research and development projects.
