Leonidas Sotiropoulos

Emeritus Professor in the field of “Cultural Anthropology”. D.Phil. (University of Oxford, 1986); thesis title: “Social Institutions of a Greek village with special interest in Economic Relations”. Teaches in the present Department (DESECE) of the University of Patras since 1986. During 2006-2007 Director of Post Graduate Studies of this Department and during 2007-2011 President of the Department. Taught also at the Hellenic Open University from 2010 to 2018.

About us

The Laboratory of Pedagogical Research and Lifelong Education at the Department of Educational Sciences and Early Childhood Education of the University of Patras was founded in 1996. Titled the Laboratory of Pedagogical Research and Applications at its founding, it was one of the earliest such Laboratories in Greece. Two decades later, the Laboratory was renamed to better reflect the research interests of its members and its ongoing research and development activities. This change was effected by GG 900B/4-4-2016, which gave the Laboratory its current name.
