Vellopoulou Angeliki
Aggeliki Vellopoulou is a Member of the Laboratory and Teaching Personnel at the Department of Educational Sciences and Early Childhood Education of the University of Patras. She holds a degree from the Department of Educational Sciences and Early Childhood Education at the University of Patras, a Master’s degree in Educational Sciences from the University of Provence Aix-Marseille I, and a PhD from the University of Patras. She has worked as a kindergarten teacher in both private and public early childhood settings, while also being involved in adult continuing education programmes. She specialises in the design, development, implementation and evaluation of educational programmes for children in early childhood and the early years of primary school. Her research interests focus on curriculum and instructional design, pedagogical transformation, play and its relationship to learning and teaching children, the teaching and learning of science concepts in early childhood education, and the initial training and continuing education of early childhood educators. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Greek National Committee of OMEP (Organisation Mondiale pour l’Éducation Préscolaire), an international, scientific, non-governmental organisation.
