Abstract
This study explores the implementation and adaptation of the ‘Mosaic’ approach within the Greek early childhood education context. Originally developed by Alison Clark and Peter Moss, the approach acknowledges children as experts in their own lives and as individuals whose rights are equal to those of adults. To collect insights into the children’s experiences and perspectives within a preschool setting - specifically regarding the spaces, amenities, and services offered - we employed a combination of verbal and non-verbal tools: observation, photography, guided tours, mapping, drawing, role-playing, and group discussions. The children's perspectives were then cross-referenced with those of their parents and educators via questionnaires and interviews. The findings revealed that interpersonal relationships, playing with friends, and outdoor playtime hold significant importance in the daily life of children at school.
